I go here often. I bought a spring roll yesterday for today’s lunch and the lettuce is brown. Now I know they’re not made fresh everyday but sheesh how old is this one. Not a happy camper

I drove nearly 3 hours to Kim Nhung Grocery in Detroit specifically to shop for specialty groceries. During my visit, I purchased four packs of meat, seafood, vegetables, and other produce, spending a considerable amount of money in the store. Knowing that I had a long drive home and wanting to keep my meat and seafood fresh and safe, I politely asked if they could provide a bag of ice. To my surprise, they refused and told me that I would need to purchase ice separately. I understand that stores may have different policies, but after spending a significant amount of money and traveling such a long distance, I felt that a small bag of ice would have been a simple gesture of customer appreciation and good service. What made the experience even more disappointing was what happened later that day. On my way home, I stopped at another Asian grocery store, 168 Market. I only purchased a single pack of chicken and mentioned that I still had a long drive ahead of me. Without hesitation, they kindly provided me with a bag of ice at no charge. The difference in customer service was obvious and greatly appreciated. This was the first time I have ever encountered a grocery store unwilling

Kim Nhung Market is one of my favorite places to shop for fresh food and groceries. The market offers a huge variety of foods, including fresh seafood, meat, vegetables, fruits, snacks, and many Asian ingredients. Everything always looks fresh, colorful, and high quality. I especially love the fresh produce section because the vegetables and fruits are always clean, fresh, and carefully selected. The seafood and meat are also very fresh, which makes cooking at home much more enjoyable. The customer service is excellent as well. The staff are friendly, helpful, and hardworking. They are always willing to assist customers and create a welcoming shopping experience.

If you live in the Madison Heights area or nearby and enjoy cooking Vietnamese or Asian dishes, Kim Nhung Superfood is definitely worth a visit. It’s more than just a grocery store — it’s a cultural and community hub. You can find everything from fresh noodles and herbs to seafood and specialty Asian ingredients that big American supermarkets often don’t carry. Despite its larger and more modern space, the store still keeps the warm, familiar feeling of a traditional Vietnamese market. It was such a pleasure to visit the market, and I was even able to capture some wonderful photos for my photography class project.

Excellent local family owned business. Amazing collection of seafood both fresh and frozen. They have Every ingredient that you ever need for authentic south east Asian recipes. Very reasonable prices. Large selection of frozen items. A huge take out section coming soon. Lots of parking. Great service
